This 1918 letter speculating that James Alexander Thaxton (of Ripley Co., Mo., son of William H. Thaxton and Nancy Trout, grandson of Alexander Thaxton of Henry Co., Tenn., great-grandson of William Thaxton and Lucy Guill of Montgomery Co., Tenn., great-great-grandson of James Thaxton and Elizabeth Clark of Prince Edward Co., Va.) was remiss on his taxes includes a description of his farm.  (Click on image for full-sized image):
