Mrs. Thelma Ellibee
Mrs. Thelma H. Ellibee, 74, of 410 N. Rath ave., died suddenly at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at her home.
Thelma H. Thaxton was born July 26, 1902, in Elbridge Township, Mich., and she was married in 1928 to Burson B. Ellibee who died July 3, 1964.
She lived here most of her life and she was a faithful communicant of Grace Episcopal Church and was a graduate of Ludington High School. She was a member of St. Catherine Guild of the Church, chairman of the flower committee of the church and was in several bridge groups for many years.
Surviving are one brother, Rev. Lisle W. Thaxton of Dallas, Tex.; three stepsons, Keith Ellibee of Mt. Clemens, Mich.; Ben B. Ellibee of Madison, Wis., and Donald Thaxton Ellibee of Flint; one son-in-law, George W. Rogers of Ludington; 10 step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death in addition to her husband by one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Jean Rogers, one brother Harold Thaxton and her parents, Walter and Janie Thaxton.
Burial office and requiem mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. Fr. J. Ralph Patston celebrant.
Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Alexander-Rye Funeral Home in Ludington from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the memorial fund at Grace Episcopal Church and envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Mrs. George Rogers
Mrs. George W. Rogers, Jr., 51 of 1009 N. Robert St. died at 12:15 p.m. Monday in her home after a lingering illness.
She was born Barbara Jean Vail on March 15, 1921 in Ludington and resided here all her life.
She was married in Ludington on Aug. 29, 1946, to George W. Rogers, Jr.
Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church, and of the St. Catherine Guild of the church. She was also a member of the American Association of University Women, the Lincoln Hills Bridge Club, and was a member of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary until she resigned recently because of ill health.
She was graduated from Ludington High School and attended Western Michigan University.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Douglas, of Ludington, her mother, Mrs. Burson Ellibee of Ludington; three brothers, Ben Ellibee of Madison, Wis.; Keith Ellibee of Riverside, Cal., and Donald Ellibee of Flint; one uncle, the Rev. Lisle W. Thaxton of Dallas, Tex., plus several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanie Lee, who died in infancy.
