John Thackston Dies at 56 Years; Is Buried
John Thackston, 3518 W. 61st, a Southtown resident for 18 years, was buried in Evergreen cemetery Wednesday after his funeral services were held in the chapel at 1716 W. 63rd st. Mr. Thackston died a week ago yesterday at the age of 56 years.
Surviving him are his widow, Ethel, four daughters, Ethel Herhahn, 3523 W. 61st st., Elizabeth Masse, 7200 Washtenaw ave., Caroline Martell and Alice Thackston, and two sons, Edward and Richard Thackston, all of the 63rd st. address. Two sisters, Mrs. Elibeth [sic] Baker, Farmville, Va., and Mrs. Rose Oakes, Norfolk Va. also survive him.

Martell R. Youngmann, 77, of Las Vegas, died Aug. 1, 2007. She was a retired secretary for the U.S. Government. She is survived by her daughters, Debra Youngmann, Lynn Voelker, Theresa Lee, and Martell Miki. Services will be private.
