Harold married Thelma Ophelia Thaxton, daughter of Henry Waters Thaxton and Mary Hutchison, granddaughter of Alexander Murray Thaxton and Laura Eliza Treadwell, great-granddaughter of Thomas G. Thaxton and Isabella Murray of Georgia, great-great-granddaughter of William Thaxton and Lucy Clay of Virginia:
H.E. THAXTON DIES SUNDAY IN MICHIGAN
Harold K. Thaxton, 67, of 2909 Columbus Avenue died about 11 a. m. Sunday following a heart attack in a hospital at Grand Rapids, Mich. He had been ill several years.
Funeral arrangemenls are pending at Carnally Funeral Home.
Mr. Thaxton was born and educated in Michigan. He came to Texas at the start of World War I and was stationed with the medical corps at Camp MacArthur in Waco. He met Miss Ophelia Thaxton, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs. H. W. Thaxton of Waco, while he was here. They were married on Aug. 7, 1921.
He was a retired landscape architect.
Survivors are his widow and a son, Murry Harold Thaxton of 2907 Columbus Avenue.
