Departed this life on the 16th ultimo in Chambers County, Alabama, Mrs. Mary thaxton, in her 17th year, consort of William Thaxton, Esquire, and daughter of Samuel and Susan Harrel, late of Jasper County, Georgia. A few days before her departure, death snatched an infant child from her bosom. She was confined to her bed during a long and protracted illness of eight weeks and upwards. She has left a little daughter and a disconsolate husband.

DIED: Departed this life on the morning of the twenty-first instant, M.S.R. Thaxton, aged three years and 24 days, the only daughter of Major William Thaxton of Chambers County, Alabama.
